Yes spring has arrived in more ways than one.The new trends discovered at the furniture show in Las Vegas showed an introduction to spring colors of the past.Remember the 80’s and pastels?Well they are back.Like the song says, “everything old is new again.”Do realize however that when we revisit design concept from the past it is always reconfigured in an entirely different way.

With spring brings the idea of freshening up our spaces with paint. Here are a few simple hints. When choosing blues or greens, always err to the gray, in other words, always go grayer than you think the color should be. You see, the little chips of color will amplify to a more intense color when applied to all your walls. When placing throw pillows on a bed or sofa, try the rule of threes! Place two throwpillows of equal value with a third with fabulous embellishments in the center. This creates a focal point for the room.
